Inflammation is the new buzz word as daily scientists and doctors are revealing the harmful effects of too much inflammation and how it can cause serious dies eases and death. So what are some causes of inflammation and how can the harmful causes of inflammation be curbed if not completely eliminated?
But before anything else it is a very good time to discuss, just what is inflammation? Inflammation is a process by which the bodies white blood cells and chemicals protect us from infection and foreign substances such as bacteria and viruses. When inflammation occurs normally, chemicals from the bodies white blood cells are released to protect us from foreign substances. Sometimes, however, the white blood cells and their inflammatory chemicals cause damage to the bodies tissues.
Our daily lives surround us environmental cesspools of air, water, food pollutants, toxic metals like mercury and lead all have contributed to inflammation that in turn has lead to sickness and disease.
Another cause of inflammation comes from an imbalance of bacteria and fungi in your gastrointestinal tract causing your immune system to overreact to normal bacteria in your gut.
What about your diet and lifestyle, eating entirely too much fat, an overabundance of sugar, and protein in your diet. Or how about constant dehydration, where instead of drinking water and healthy beverages we have come to consumption of too many sodas or caffeine, coupled with inactivity, and lack of sleep can all increase inflammation in your body.
Last but not least the biggest in the causes of inflammation and that is STRESS. The number one attacker of our peace. Our bodies simply were not designed to take on todays stress that not only attacks our physical bodies, but our mental. Stress my friend is a killer, and far too many people have too much stress in their lives.
As you can see the causes of inflammation can come in many forms. The big question comes in what can YOU do about it. How can you keep inflammation from becoming too much, ultimately causing chronic inflammation that leads to diseases and possibly death? First thing you can do is take heed to these causes and make sure you get proper rest, drink plenty of water, eat good food avoiding too much fast food. Take time out of your day to exercise and if you can not find time to, simply take a walk, even fifteen minutes a day can help. Always remember stress is not your friend, do not let it get to you. Keep the levels down, breathe deep and let go, and before long the stress of the day is under control.
The causes of inflammation are everywhere, and in some cases you can not avoid it, but you can fight back by realizing the causes, and taking positive steps of change to turn it around each and every day.
